50 Facts About Me!


I made one of these 10 years ago on my old blog, so I thought it'd be fun to redo it, updating anything that no longer holds true. If you're reading this, I'd love for you to comment 5 facts about yourself too.




  1. I was born at twilight on Halloween during Ramadan. That makes me a Scorpio with a massive superiority complex.
  2. I've been making blogs and websites since I was 9 years old.
  3. The first time I pulled an all-nighter was in year 4 or 5. I stayed up until 5AM on a school night playing Papa's Pizzeria. I've been nocturnal ever since.
  4. I've also successfully summoned a demon as a child.
  5. I make great paper planes.
  6. My favourite flower to recieve is the very basic and boring rose. People seem to forget how many varieties there are past the typical supermarket offerings and they are all so uniquely wonderful, especially when they're fragrant. Unsurprisingly, I'm particularly fond of the Black Baccara.
  7. I cut my own hair with craft scissors. It looks exactly as you'd expect.
  8. I print out all my photos and keep them in a box.
  9. This is my favourite number, I don't know why.
  10. I'm clairvoyant. It's matrilineal.
  11. Though I have issues with how referrential everything has become nowadays, I adore  meta fiction like Community and Scream.
  12. I wrote an entire novel in little over a week because I wanted to be a teenage author like Mary Shelley.
  13. I like to paint my nails either maroon, black, or the colour of a London bus.
  14. Not very edgy and goth of me, but I blush extremely easily to the point that I don't even own any rouge.
  15. My favourite fruit flavour is cherry, but my favourite fruits to eat plain are apples and specifically Pakistani mangoes.
  16. The first songs I remember liking are S&M by Rihanna, Never Say Never by Justin Bieber and Airplanes by B.o.B and Hayley Williams.
  17. I'm the way I am because my uncle showed me MySpace emos on Google images when I was 7 and the rest is history.
  18. He also got me really into GTA. When I was 5. No regrets. I love Vice City.
  19. But my favourite video game is Poptropica.
  20. I like writing essays for fun. I hate citations though.
  21. Every time I wear a Nirvana T-shirt I hope I get asked to name three songs. 
  22. People always think I'm a lot taller than I actually am. 
  23. I have a birth mark on my right palm. In primary school I told a boy I drew it on with Sharpie and it stained permanently and he believed me, having a go at how stupid that was of me. The irony.
  24. I have 9 piercings and I'm looking to get at least 5 more before the end of this year.
  25. I'm a vegetarian.
  26. I've been into vampires all my life. I cannot remember a time before them. I have no idea where the obsession came from.
  27. I've never had a new phone.
  28. I've shifted realities from one where DID is a fictional disorder and not recognised by psychiatrists. This probably happened some time around 2018-20.
  29. My first anime were concurrently Tokyo Mew Mew and Death Note.
  30. I learned English from Cartoon Network. 
  31. I have the highest spice tolerance of anyone I know.
  32. As much as possible, I like to read books in one go. Usually a novel will take me no longer than 3 days.
  33. I can't confirm this myself, but allegedly I scream in my sleep.
  34. I drink my coffee black with the tiniest sprinkle of salt and sometimes stevia.
  35. My dream man wears Chanel no. 5.
  36. I think lip balms are a scam but I like having them on my person for the flavour anyway.
  37. I have a massive sweet tooth but I don't like candy.
  38. My favourite method of communication is through letters.
  39. Everything I own needs to have some sort of meaning. My life is steeped in sentimentality and nostalgia.
  40. I'm left-handed.
  41. Smoke/burning wood is one of my favourite smells.
  42. My typical "uniform" consists of graphic t shirts, hoodies, leather jackets, flannels, and black jeans. My way of dressing has not changed since I was 12 years old and I don't intend to change it now.
  43. My first ever concert was Nine Inch Nails.
  44. A bat landed next to me on my first day of university and I spent two hours with it.
  45. I've played football with Howard Gayle.
  46. My favourite colours, quite obviously, are red and black. "bLaCk iSn'T a CoLoUr 🤓" stfu.
  47. Lolita is one of my favourite books. I've annotated my copy so densely, it's difficult to read some of the pages.
  48. Most of my clothes are thrifted. I hate buying things new, especially if they are mass produced.
  49. My hands and feet are perpetually freezing. I enjoy terrorising my family with this in the winter.
  50. I'm like an indie web version of a missionary. I want people to start blogging and sitebuilding again in the mainstream.
